Jalen Brunson’s basketball journey is a testament to resilience and determination. Born on August 31, 1996, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he honed his skills at Villanova University, leading the Wildcats to two NCAA championships and earning National Player of the Year honors in 2018. Despite his collegiate success, Brunson was selected 33rd overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NBA Draft. After signing with the Knicks ahead of the 2022 season, Brunson quickly became the team’s leader, earning All-Star selections and All-NBA honors. In the 2024–25 season, he averaged 26.0 points and 7.3 assists per game, leading the Knicks to their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance in 25 years. His clutch performances earned him the NBA Clutch Player of the Year award. In the playoffs, he set a franchise record with a 47-point game and became the first Knick to record three consecutive 40-point games in a playoff series.
