Tim Hardaway
Tim Hardaway was one of the most electrifying point guards in NBA history, known for his exceptional ball-handling, quickness, and scoring ability. Born in 1966, Hardaway played college basketball at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) before being selected 14th overall by the Golden State Warriors in the 1989 NBA Draft.
Hardaway made an immediate impact, becoming a key part of the Warriors’ famed “Run TMC” trio alongside Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond. His signature move, the “UTEP Two-Step” crossover, left defenders helpless and became one of the most iconic dribble moves in basketball history.
In 1996, Hardaway was traded to the Miami Heat, where he enjoyed some of his best seasons under head coach Pat Riley. He played a crucial role in transforming the Heat into a championship contender, leading them to multiple deep playoff runs. Hardaway was a five-time NBA All-Star and earned All-NBA honors multiple times.
After playing for the Mavericks, Nuggets, and Pacers later in his career, Hardaway retired in 2003. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest point guards to ever play the game.
