Golden State Warriors 1994-95 Roster and Stats

The 1994-95 Golden State Warriors season was marked by struggle and transition. The team finished with a disappointing record of 26-56, placing them 6th in the Pacific Division and far from playoff contention. This season was the Warriors’ first under head coach Rick Adelman, who had previously found success with the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Warriors faced numerous challenges during the season, including significant injuries to key players. Chris Webber, who was the standout rookie the previous season, played only 41 games due to a shoulder injury and eventually requested a trade, which disrupted team chemistry. His departure to the Washington Bullets was a major blow to the roster. Latrell Sprewell emerged as the team’s leading scorer, averaging 20.6 points per game, but his efforts were not enough to change the team’s fortunes.

Golden State’s defense struggled throughout the season, allowing an average of 111.1 points per game, which was among the worst in the league. The team’s offensive efforts were inconsistent, with a lack of reliable secondary scoring options behind Sprewell. Despite these challenges, young players such as rookie Donyell Marshall showed potential, offering some hope for the future.

The 1994-95 season was a period of rebuilding for the Warriors, setting the stage for further roster changes and strategic adjustments in the coming years. The team aimed to regroup and develop a more competitive squad for the future seasons. Despite the setbacks, the Warriors’ fan base remained hopeful for a turnaround in the franchise’s fortunes.
