Markelle Fultz
Markelle Fultz joined the Orlando Magic on February 7, 2019 when he was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Jonathon Simmons and multiple draft picks. Upon joining the Magic, Fultz did not play until the following season while the Orlando staff gave Fultz time to heal from previous injuries.
Prior to joining the Magic, Markelle Fultz was the much heralded no. 1 overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft. Fultz’s time in Philadelphia, however, was fairly disastrous with Fultz being plagued by injuries, possible mental challenges and an ever-changing shooting mechanic. Incredibly, Fultz only played 33 games for the Philadelphia 76ers across the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.
By many measures, Fultz was a contributing member of the Orlando Magic across five seasons. However, Fultz did unfortunately suffer from injuries, most notably a torn ACL in early 2021 in which he lost a good calendar year and part of both the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
