Aaron Gordon was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 4th overall draft pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. The pick was a key building block of the post-Dwight Howard era rebuild; a rebuild that had its moments, but never really hit the levels of achievement desired by management and fans. Perhaps its fitting that Aaron Gordon’s biggest moments of his Magic career came via the NBA dunk contest when he wowed basketball fans with his athleticism. Gordon helped lead the Magic to the playoffs in both the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, but he missed the first round series in 2019-20 due to injury and thus only played five games in the playoffs in a Magic uniform.
Gordon was traded from the Orlando Magic in March of 2021 to the Denver Nuggets alongside Gary Clark for RJ Hampton, Gary Harris and a future draft pick.
