Luka Dončić was one of the biggest stars in Dallas Mavericks history, leading the team to deep playoff runs with MVP caliber performances year-in and year-out. Despite his stardom, Luka was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in the middle of the 2024-25 season to the shock of the NBA in a trade for Anthony Davis. Mavericks fans nearly revolted, but the unrest cooled when Dallas unexpected landed the top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, securing the next potential Dallas star, Cooper Flagg.
